TRUST K9 — SERVICE TERMS & CONDITIONS

Last updated: 21/09/2026

These terms apply to private dog-walking and handling services provided by TRUST K9. By confirming a booking or purchasing a monthly package, the client agrees to these terms.

1. Services

TRUST K9 provides private, individual dog-walking and handling services. Dogs are not placed into generic group walks.

Each arrangement is tailored around the dog’s temperament, routine and disclosed handling requirements.

TRUST K9 does not provide security services, protection work, formal dog training, residential boarding or veterinary care.

2. Monthly packages

  • A fully tailored weekly schedule
  • Weekend walks where agreed
  • Priority scheduling
  • Greater flexibility around changing requirements
  • Ongoing review of the dog’s walking and handling routine
  • Reserved capacity within the TRUST K9 schedule

“Daily” means a maximum of one scheduled walk on each agreed day. It does not include unlimited visits, on-demand attendance or overnight care.

3. Walk duration

Walks may last up to 60 minutes.

The exact duration may be adjusted where reasonably necessary because of the dog’s welfare, health, behaviour, weather conditions or another unexpected safety concern.

Collection, return and routine communication are separate from the advertised walking time unless otherwise agreed.

4. Acceptance of dogs

All arrangements are subject to an initial conversation and, where requested by TRUST K9, a suitable introductory meeting.

Acceptance is considered individually. TRUST K9 may decline or discontinue an arrangement where the service cannot be provided safely or appropriately.

The client must provide complete and accurate information about:

  • Behaviour or previous incidents
  • Reactivity, aggression or bite history
  • Medical conditions, injuries or allergies
  • Medication
  • Escape behaviour
  • Handling instructions
  • Any other matter that could affect the dog, the handler or members of the public

Failure to disclose relevant information may result in the immediate suspension or ending of services.

5. Scheduling

Walks are arranged according to an agreed weekly schedule.

Preferred times cannot be guaranteed unless specifically confirmed. Arrival times may vary where reasonably necessary because of traffic, weather, emergencies or the requirements of another dog.

Priority scheduling provides greater access to preferred times but does not guarantee immediate or unlimited availability.

Additional walks outside the selected package are subject to availability and may carry an additional charge agreed before booking.

6. Payment and renewal

Monthly package fees are payable in advance.

The first payment secures the agreed start date and reserved schedule. The package then continues monthly until ended in accordance with these terms.

If payment is late or unsuccessful, TRUST K9 may pause services until the outstanding amount has been paid.

Package prices apply to one dog unless otherwise agreed. Additional dogs from the same household may carry an additional charge.

TRUST K9 will provide at least 30 days’ notice of any change to package prices. The client may end the package before the new price takes effect.

7. Client cancellations

The client should provide at least 24 hours’ notice when cancelling a scheduled walk.

Where sufficient notice is provided, TRUST K9 will make a reasonable effort to rearrange the walk within the same billing period. Rescheduling remains subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.

Walks cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be treated as used and will not normally be refunded, credited or carried forward.

Missed walks caused by the client being unavailable, failing to provide access or failing to supply the required equipment may also be treated as used.

8. Cancellations by TRUST K9

If TRUST K9 cannot provide an agreed walk, the walk will be rearranged, credited or refunded as appropriate.

TRUST K9 may shorten, postpone or cancel a walk where continuing would create an unreasonable risk to the dog, the handler or the public.

9. Ending a monthly package

Either party may end an ongoing package by providing 30 days’ written notice.

The package will remain active, and payment obligations will continue, throughout the notice period unless otherwise agreed.

TRUST K9 may suspend or end services immediately where:

  • Relevant behavioural or medical information has not been disclosed
  • The dog cannot be handled safely
  • Suitable access or equipment is repeatedly unavailable
  • Payment remains outstanding
  • The client behaves abusively, threateningly or unlawfully
  • Continuing the arrangement would create an unacceptable welfare or safety concern

Where TRUST K9 ends an arrangement for reasons unrelated to the client’s conduct, any prepaid services that cannot be supplied will be credited or refunded as appropriate.

10. Owner responsibilities

The client must provide:

  • A suitable collar or harness
  • A secure lead
  • Any legally required identification
  • Safe access to and from the property
  • Current emergency contact details
  • Veterinary contact details
  • Any equipment or instructions reasonably required for the dog

The client must ensure the dog is legally permitted to be walked and must explain any restrictions or handling requirements before services begin.

TRUST K9 may refuse to use equipment considered damaged, unsuitable or unsafe.

11. Leads and exercise

Dogs will remain on a lead unless off-lead exercise has been specifically agreed in writing and is considered appropriate in the circumstances.

No guarantee is made that a dog will be exercised in a particular location or allowed off lead.

Routes and environments may be changed to protect the dog’s welfare, maintain discretion or avoid unsuitable situations.

12. Property access and keys

Where property access is required, the client must provide clear and accurate access instructions.

Keys, access codes and security information will only be used for providing the agreed service.

The client must notify TRUST K9 promptly if access arrangements change. TRUST K9 is not responsible for a missed service where correct access has not been provided.

13. Weather and welfare

Walks may be adjusted during extreme heat, severe weather or other conditions that could affect the dog’s welfare or safe handling.

An adjusted service may include a shorter walk, a changed route or time spent providing appropriate outdoor relief and calm individual attention.

The dog’s welfare will take priority over completing a fixed duration.

14. Illness, injury and emergencies

The client must notify TRUST K9 of any illness, injury, medication or change in the dog’s condition before the next scheduled walk.

The client must provide an emergency contact and veterinary details before services begin.

If urgent veterinary attention appears reasonably necessary, TRUST K9 will attempt to contact the client or emergency contact. If nobody can be reached, TRUST K9 may act in accordance with the emergency authority provided by the client.

Veterinary fees and related costs remain the client’s responsibility unless the need for treatment was directly caused by TRUST K9’s failure to exercise reasonable care and skill.

15. Behaviour and results

TRUST K9 will follow the handling instructions and routines agreed with the client, provided they remain safe and appropriate.

Dog behaviour can be unpredictable. TRUST K9 does not guarantee changes in behaviour, temperament, obedience, fitness or training outcomes.

Regular walking and consistent handling should not be treated as a replacement for veterinary, behavioural or training advice.

16. Responsibility and liability

TRUST K9 will provide services with reasonable care and skill.

The client remains responsible for providing accurate information and for the consequences of undisclosed medical conditions, behavioural history or handling requirements, to the extent that those consequences were caused by the failure to disclose them.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or the client’s statutory consumer rights.

17. Online and distance bookings

Where the client enters into the agreement online, by telephone or away from TRUST K9’s business premises, the client may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days.

If the client asks for services to begin during that period and then cancels, the client may be required to pay for services already supplied up to the cancellation date.

This section does not affect any other statutory rights.

18. Changes to these terms

TRUST K9 may update these terms where reasonably necessary.

Clients with an active monthly package will be given reasonable notice of any material change. If a change materially affects the service, the client may end the package before that change takes effect.

19. Contact and notices

Questions, cancellations and notices concerning these terms should be sent to:

Written notice includes email or another written messaging method normally used between TRUST K9 and the client.

20. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Nothing in these terms prevents a client from relying on any mandatory consumer rights or bringing a claim in a court available to them under applicable law.
